REVISED CRAB SETTLEMENT AGREEMENT – CREW SHARES

January 4, 2025

Payments are currently being distributed to qualifying snow crab enterprises. Plants have agreed to pay a final per pound price of $3.75, meaning those who were paid a per pound rate below this amount will be paid the difference. This agreement is separate from the original rebate agreement made this spring (which calculated a final price of $3.19), and as a result the same legal obligations do not apply.

While there is no legal obligation to do so, enterprise owners who receive payment for snow crab landings in 2024 are encouraged to distribute these funds per the original crew share agreement.

FFAW-Unifor continues to work towards an improved formula agreement in advance of the 2025 crab fishing season. Updates will be provided when available.
