Mobile Gear Herring (Purse Seine) Fishery Opening by Permit only in HFA 9/10 for Group B
DFO advises that the Herring fishery in St. Mary’s Bay, Herring Fishing Area 09 and Placentia Bay, Herring Fishing Area 10 for mobile gear vessels in Group B will open to eligible harvesters by permit only, on January 11, 2024, at 0600 hours.
Amended license conditions will be required.
The Regional Director General, Fisheries and Oceans Canada, Newfoundland and Labrador Region gives notice that Variation Order 2023-312 has been revoked and Variation Order 2024-001 comes into effect on January 11, 2024.
