Commercial Eel Fishery
DFO advises Eel harvesters that gear can be set in scheduled Salmon rivers effective immediately.
The Eel fishery will close to all gear types in all locations on October 31, 2025.
“Notices to Fish Harvesters” for all commercial fisheries are now available online under the Fishery Notices link on the DFO NL Region webpage at www.nfl.dfo-mpo.gc.ca/en
