HERRING MG Greater than and Less than 65′ PURSE SEINE FISHERY OPENING IN AREA 13 AND 14
DFO advises that the Herring purse seine fishery, for the greater than and less than 65′ mobile gear fleet in Herring Fishing Area 13 and 14, will open 0600 hours, April 1, 2023.
The Small Fish Protocol approved and implemented for both fleets will continue for the remainder of this management cycle ending March 31, 2024.
The Regional Director General, Fisheries and Oceans Canada, Newfoundland and Labrador Region gives notice that Variation Order 2023-013 has been revoked and Variation Order 2023-016 comes into effect on April 1, 2023.
