DELAY REQUESTED FOR 4R HALIBUT REOPENING

Due to quality concerns from ASP, we have requested a delay in 4R Halibut reopening. Processors are requesting that the Atlantic halibut reopening be pushed back by one week to August 25th. With the hot weather and increasing water temperatures, reopening next week (Aug. 18) could lead to an increased risk of chalky fish. We feel this is in the best interest of all our members.
