CRAB PRICE UPDATE: APRIL 19 TO 256 AND APRIL 26 TO MAY 2, 2026

April 27, 2026

πŸ”΄πŸ¦€CRAB PRICE UPDATE: APRIL 26 TO MAY 2, 2026

Urner Barry (UB) began quoting NL 5-8 oz sections on Thursday, April 23.

By noon every Monday we will send out the price you will be paid for the crab you landed last week.
We average the Tuesday-Thursday UB and apply the currency to get the market price. From there, we use the price table to determine the price to harvesters.

The price to harvesters for landings Sunday, April 19 to Saturday, April 25 was $5.89.

As per Paragraph 1 of the agreement β€œDuring the time period prior to the first UB quote, should the initial UB NL 5-8 oz low quote create a higher price to harvesters than $5.75/lb, processors will rebate harvesters the price difference, for the period prior to the quote.” This means that harvesters will be rebated the difference between $5.89 and $5.75 (14 cents) for crab landed in the week Sunday April 19 to Saturday April 25.

The price per pound for crab landed during the week of Sunday, April 26 to Saturday, May 2 will be released by noon on Monday, May 4.
