Greenland Halibut (Turbot) Fishery Closing in NAFO Divisions 2+3K for < 65 ft Fixed Gear Fleet DFO advises that landings for the 2024 2+3K Greenland Halibut (Turbot) Fishery for the less than 65 ft Fleet is approximately 1560 MT for the period up to and including Wednesday, August 14th. The tentative closing date for this fishery will be August 21, 2024 at 2000 hours. The Department will continue to monitor this fishery closely and harvesters are advised that a closure may be required prior to this date. An update will be communicated to harvesters by a Notice to Fishers later this week or early next week if necessary.
