NOTICE TO HARVESTERS – DETAILS FOR HERCULES EXPLORATION DRILLING PROGRAM

Equinor Canada has engaged FFAW to notify harvetsers in 3L of its upcoming exploration drilling program at the Sitka well site in the Flemish Pass (47 51′ 13.7566″ N; 46 45′ 46.5151 N, approximately 850m water depth, map attached). All drilling activity is within NAFO 3Li, outside of 200nm limit.

Hercules MODU will be escorted by FFAW Fisheries Guide Vessel to assist in avoiding any fishing activity in transit. She is expected to arrive in Bay Bulls around July 2-3 and depart from Bay Bulls to the drill site ~ July 6. Drilling is expected to start around July 9. These dates are flexible and may shift slightly. Harvesters will be notified of any significant schedule changes.

Harvesters in the area can expect supply vessels Atlantic Kestrel, Atlantic Osprey, and Songa Discover to transit between St. John’s and well location for the duration of the program. There is a 500m safety exclusion zone around the Hercules at the drill site.
