WEST WHITE ROSE OFFSHORE TOW UPDATE

Please see the attached offshore tow route for the West White Rose CGS from Placentia Bay to the White Rose Field. This is tentatively scheduled to start sometime between June 13-15 but as this date approaches, more precise details will be communicated. Details attached show waypoints, proposed exclusion zones, and coordinates to help harvesters with gear in the tow route plan to remove gear as needed. During the tow, there will be Fisheries Guide Vessels and Fisheries Liaison Officers deployed to assist in identifying gear and notifying harvesters who may need to move gear.

In the unfortunate event of gear loss or damage, there is a compensation program in place. After the tow, should there be reports of gear loss or damage, harvesters should reach out to Katie Power, Industry Relations Representative to begin the claims process.

Crab Committee Chairs in 3L will be meeting with Cenovus representatives Thursday evening, June 5th.
