Panel Sides with FFAW for Lobster Reconsideration

May 25, 2020

The Price Setting Panel announced their decision in the reconsideration of the price of lobster for the 2020 season, siding with the FFAW’s position that will maintain the Urner Barry formula and the minimum price of $3.25.

In their reconsideration, SPONL’s attempted to deduct $0.50USD off the Urner Barry price before applying the sharing formula, which would have reduced the price paid to harvesters by $0.40cents per pound.
