Reminder: Mobile Gear Purse Seine Herring Fisheries Closed
DFO reminds harvesters that herring fisheries in all Herring Fishing Areas (HFAs) for mobile gear purse seine are closed.
The Regional Director General, Fisheries and Oceans Canada, Newfoundland and Labrador Region gives notice that Variation Order 2026-017 has been revoked, and Variation Order 2026-021 comes into effect on March 31, 2026.
