GOVERNMENT OF NL FILES INJUNCTION AGAINST DEMONSTRATING HARVESTERS

March 20, 2024

The Government of Newfoundland and Labrador has filed a legal interim injunction against fish harvesters protesting outside the Confederation Building in St. John’s. The interim injunction is legally and immediately valid, and therefore FFAW-Unifor President Greg Pretty is advising members to respect the injunction and not prevent anyone coming or going from the Confederation Building, or they may risk being arrested and criminally charged.
