FISH HARVESTER BENEFIT UPDATE

August 13, 2021

August 13, 2021 – Your letters and calls to your MPs are being heard! FFAW-Unifor has received correspondence from Gudie Hutchings and Churence Rodgers acknowledging the situation that has developed around the Program and they are working diligently to resolve the issues and mitigate any hardship that may be associated with any repayment.

As of yesterday, Gudie Hutchings’ office received confirmation that the appeal process window has been extended to September 15th and a notice has been sent to applicants. Additionally, the department has made it a priority to fix the wait time issue for harvesters as soon as possible.

FFAW will continue to keep membership updated.
