3Ps Sea Cucumber Fishery Opening

DFO advises that the Sea Cucumber fishery in NAFO Sub-division 3Ps for both the Western and the Eastern beds will open at 0600 hours on August 27, 2025.

Due to extenuating circumstances in this season’s Sea cucumber fishery, and in response to a request from industry, buddy up arrangements will be authorized in this year’s fishery. This is a temporary measure for 2025, limited to the individual bed being fished. Harvesters interested in requesting a buddy up arrangement may submit individual requests via NOLS, clearly outlining the nature of your request.

“Notices to Fish Harvesters” for all commercial fisheries are now available online under the Fishery Notices link on the DFO NL Region webpage at https://www.nfl.dfo-mpo.gc.ca/en
