NOMINATION PERIOD OPEN FOR 2025 INSHORE COUNCIL ELECTION
The nomination period for 18 regional seats opens on January 10, 2025 for 16 days, closing on January 26, 2025. Candidates will be confirmed by the Elections Committee on Monday, January 27, and the voting period will open on February 3, 2025 for 30 days. Results will be announced on Thursday, March 6 – however, successful candidates are not installed into their positions until Fall 2025.
Nomination forms will not be sent in the mail.

Per the FFAW-Unifor Constitution, the Inshore Council is composed as follows, with a total maximum of 35 members:

🔴IMPORTANT: All those interested in seeking a Women’s, Crew, or Young Harvester seat must first nominate for the applicable regional seat.
Individuals may satisfy up to 3 of these requirements. Therefore, following the election of the 18 regional seats, nominations may not re-open for Women’s, Crew Members, Young Harvesters or At-Large positions.
As in previous elections, if your mailing address does not align with your fishing area, you may request to adjust your ballot accordingly before voting. Please contact the FFAW office for more information on this process.
Members in good standing can vote via email or telephone. Those with emails on file will receive their voting instructions and PIN via email, while those without emails on file will be sent their voting instructions and PIN via traditional mail to their mailing address. IMPORTANT: Spouses or family members should not use the same email address. Each member must have a unique email address if they wish to vote via email. As a result, some members in the same household may receive a voting package by mail while another may receive it by email.
FFAW is using Intelivote to administer the electronic voting process.
