LOBSTER QUALITY AND HANDLING WORKHOP – CLARENVILLE
The FFAW is offering a free lobster quality and handling workshop in Clarenville, NL. The workshop will be held Tuesday, Jan. 14, 2025, at 6:30 pm at the Clarenville Inn. The trainer for the workshop will be Melanie Giffin, a marine biologist from the PEI Fishermen’s Association. Jamie Baker, Area 3Ps Member Representative, will also be in attendance. Topics that will be discussed include lobster biology and anatomy, proper handling techniques to reduce stress/mortality, and how to determine the quality of your lobster. Session will be 2-3 hours and will include a door prize. Attendance will be taken, and one (1) land-based education credit will be awarded.
