Lobster Prices 2026

April 23, 2026

For the 2026 season, the lobster pricing formula remains unchanged from 2025 following the Panel’s decision to roll over the existing structure. The price to harvesters will continue to be based on the Tuesday Urner Barry market price from the start of the season to Mother’s Day. After Mother’s Day, the price to harvesters will be calculated using the Thursday–Tuesday average Urner Barry market price.

Under the formula, for the first $5.00 of the Urner Barry market price, harvesters receive $3.25. The price to harvesters increases by 70% of any incremental amount above $5.00 and 80% of any incremental amount above $6.00.

The Union had sought to regain the use of Thursday pricing for the two weeks leading up to Mother’s Day; however, the Panel chose to maintain the existing formula without changes.
