Important Information about the Executive Board Non-Fish Seat Virtual Election

The nomination period for the IRO Non-Fish vacancy seat on the Executive Board yielded two candidates: Chelsea Dicks (Ramada) and Mark Fudge (Molson Coors).

The virtual election is being managed by third-party company SimplyVoting. Here are some important facts about this election:

📩 Voting instructions and a secure voting ID and PIN will be sent to all members in this sector on August 28, 2026 at 12:01AM.

⏰ The voting period will open at this time and will close again 30 days later on September 27, 2026 at 11:59PM NL time. No votes will be accepted before or after this period.

📞 All voters may cast their ballot by either telephone OR online website using the unique elector ID and PIN provided in their voting instructions.

📧 Members with emails on file will receive their voting instructions including unique elector ID and secure PIN via email.

📌 The email will come from sender vote@simplyvoting.com. You can add this email to your ‘safe senders’ list to ensure seamless delivery.

📫 Members with no email on file will receive their voting instructions via mail (Canada Post) to their address on file.

⏱️ Mailed instructions could take up to TWO WEEKS to be received; to verify your contact information is correct or to have your ballot sent by email instead, please call the St. John’s Office at 709-576-7276.

🔐 Your vote is 100% anonymous, confidential, and secure.

🚫 Absolutely no one will be able to see which candidate you voted for. The only thing that can be verified is whether or not a vote was cast.
