FALL LINE-TRAWL FISHERY TAGGING OPPORTUNITY

FFAW is now accepting applications for a halibut tagging opportunity. The goal is to tag 6 Atlantic halibut caught as bycatch in the Northern Cod Longline Fishery. Atlantic halibut will be tagged and released by a FFAW tech using satellite tags, and fin samples of caught halibut will also be taken. Harvesters will be compensated for tagged and released halibut as well as a daily rate.
The FFAW technician will collect information on cod during the charter.
