CALLING INTERESTED HARVESTERS FOR INTERVIEWS ON CHANGES IN SEAL ABUNDANCE

March 5, 2024

Harvesters highlight the need to understand the impacts from seal predation on all our fisheries in NL waters. To help address this gap in knowledge, FFAW is calling on harvesters to volunteer to do an interview to discuss seal abundance over their fishing career. We want to document local changes in seal abundance, distribution and seasonality over the past 20-40 years. Interested harvesters can contact Ian Ivany at 709-576-7276 or iivany@ffaw.ca.
