NOTICE TO HARVESTERS
The Fisheries Science Stewardship and Sustainability Board (FSSSB) would like to advise groundfish licence holders in Divisions 4R3PN that the deadline for the submission of applications for the Atlantic Halibut Sustainability Plan (AHSP) is Friday, May 1st.
Harvesters should not delay submitting their AHSP applications due to current uncertainties surrounding the status and opening dates for various fisheries due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Harvesters are further advised that:
• The AHSP Administration Fee will not be processed until it is confirmed that the fishery for Atlantic halibut and turbot will be proceeding this year.
• In the event that these fisheries do not proceed, all Administration Fees will be refunded by the FSSSB.
