AGREEMENT REACHED ON SHRIMP PRICES

April 16, 2025

On the third day of negotiations, a deal was reached with ASP on the price of shrimp.

While last year had a year-long price of $1.36/lb, this year’s agreement reverts to the tradition of seasonal pricing. The minimum price for Spring 2025 is $1.65/lb. The full price table will be made available shortly.

The $1.65/lb is for landed to the plant and landed in St. Anthony or Port au Choix and $1.57/lb trucked from elsewhere on the island.

The negotiating committee included:
2J – Dwight Russell
4R – Chris Gould and Boyd Lavers
3Kn – Chris Rose
3Ks – Heather Starkes and Bobby Noble
3L – Nelson Bussey
With FFAW staff Dwan Street, Jason Spingle, Sherry Glynn, Ray Critch, and Onye Oluoha.

The level of commitment shown by committee members to seeing this deal through was exceptional and we thank them for their dedication.
