Mobile Gear Capelin Fishery Reopening in Bonavista Bay and Trinity Bay
DFO advises that the capelin fishery for vessels using mobile gear will reopen on July 14, 2025 at 0600 hours and close on July 14, 2025 at 2200 hours in Bonavista Bay and Trinity Bay (Capelin Fishing Areas 5 and 6).
“Notices to Fish Harvesters” for all commercial fisheries are now available online under the Fishery Notices link on the DFO NL Region webpage at https://www.nfl.dfo-mpo.gc.ca/en
