Sea Cucumber Prices 2025

Today the Standing Fish Price Setting Panel ruled and chose the FFAW position for the 2025 price of sea cucumber – $0.69 as opposed to the ASP offer of $0.50. All other terms and conditions remain the same as the previous year.

This year’s negotiations were difficult with the imposed Chinese tariffs, resulting in a delay to receive further market information in July. The Panel’s decision was clear that, while there has been some decline due to China’s tariff situation, the doom-and-gloom claims of ASP were unfounded and that the FFAW position was based in current market realities.

Thank you to the negotiating committee for their commitment, time and knowledge. The committee included harvesters Mark Pearson, Brian Careen, Brett Cox, Lyndon Bussey and Kurtis Kerrivan and staff Dwan Street, Sherry Glynn, Onye Oluoha, Jamie Baker and Ian Ivany.
