Herring Fishery Closing For GILLNETS/TRAP ONLY in NAFO Divisions 3L (HFA 5-9)
DFO advises that the fixed gear herring (gillnet/trap) fisheries for Bonavista Bay, Trinity Bay, Conception Bay, the Southern Avalon and St. Mary’s Bay, (Herring Fishing Areas 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9) will close at 2000 hours on Wednesday, June 14, 2023.
The Regional Director General, Fisheries and Oceans Canada, Newfoundland and Labrador Region gives notice that Variation Order 2023-064 has been revoked and Variation Order 2023-092 comes into effect on May 31, 2023.
