UPDATE – FRIDAY, APRIL 5, 2024

April 5, 2024

FFAW continues to work towards a solution to get the snow crab fishery going as soon as possible. However, yesterday, ASP attempted to justify their pricing formula and falsely skewed percentages to convince harvesters and the public that their pricing structure is fair.

The fact is, ASP’s pricing formula is completely contrary to historical market shares, as can be seen in the two accompanying graphs.

ASP is trying to spin a false narrative to trick fish harvesters into thinking they’re getting a fair deal, when in fact they will be much worse-off share wise than in previous years.

FFAW will continue providing updates to members when available.
