TURBOT NEGOTIATION UPDATE

June 3, 2021

June 3, 2021 – Turbot negotiations were held this week and the parties were unable to come to an agreement. The price will now be settled by the Standing Fish Price Setting Panel at a hearing to be held tomorrow morning, June 4th.

FFAW- Unifor’s position is $1.70 per pound, a rollover of the 2020 price. ASP submitted a price of $1.50, which would be a significant price decline. The Panel’s decision will be released next Tuesday or Wednesday.

Thank you to the committee for your ideas and hard work this week.
