Snow Crab <4” Carapace Tolerance

May 23, 2023

The wording in the Crab Schedule on tolerance for <4” carapace continues to be status quo, as it has been for the last several years:

“There will be 20% tolerance for <4” crab in each landing. This means the first 20% of <4” in each landing will be paid at the price for greater than or equal to 4” crab.”

There was no change to tolerance wording in this year’s agreement.

This means that if you have 20% or less <4”, there is no deduction. For example, if you have 25% <4” you get the price deduction on 5%.
