SEISMIC SEASON UPDATE: CONQUEROR

Harvesters are reminded of the seismic season starting later this month. Seismic vessel, Amazon Conqueror, is expected in St John’s within the next two weeks. She will depart St. John’s towards Hibernia oil platform the morning of May 18th and the first shot of seismic is estimated around May 24th. After ~60 days, the Conqueror will survey near Hebron oil platform for another ~50 days. An FFAW Fisheries Liaison Officer (FLO) will be onboard the seismic vessel. Note: Fishers are not required to move fishing gear from industrial work areas. It is illegal for anyone but the gear owner to move gear. Related concerns offshore must be communicated to the FLO or Industry Relations Representative ASAP.
