Message from the President - Snow Crab Negotiations Update

April 1, 2023

As a result of negotiation challenges in 2022 and the subsequent recommendations from the Conway Report, the Standing Fish Price Setting Panel process has made some adaptations this year.

The FFAW prides itself on communicating these updates to members as quickly as possible while being mindful not to jeopardize our position. However, following yesterday’s second price submission, both Parties agreed that neither would share further details until a final price decision had been made. We know this is difficult for members and we apologize for this change in process. Rest assured, your negotiating team will continue working on your behalf to get the best prices possible for the upcoming season, and we will communicate this information to members as soon as we are able.
