Meeting in St. Brides

FFAW will be holding the following meetings on Wednesday, February 19:

St. Brides at 10 am at the Town Hall

Placentia at 2 pm at the Placentia Arts Centre

All harvesters are urged to attend.

Meetings in Lawn & Lamaline

For harvesters from Little St Lawrence to Point May, FFAW will be holding the following community meetings:

February 13 at 10 am in Lawn at the Canadian Legion
February 13 at 1 pm in Lamaline at the Fire Hall

Meeting in Arnolds Cove

There will be a meeting tomorrow, Friday, January 31 at 2pm at the Rec Centre in Arnold’s Cove for harvesters who fish in the Whiffenhead terminal area.

As a result of ongoing safety concerns relating to tanker and harvesting conflicts in the area, Teekay and other industrial users will be in attendance to consult with harvesters in the area.

FFAW’s Petroleum Industry Liaison, Robyn Lee, will also be in attendance to consult with harvesters regarding new oil and gas exploration drilling projects in the region. Harvester feedback regarding oil and gas activities is a vital part of the consultation process.

All harvesters from this area are encouraged to attend.

3Ks Shrimp Fleet Meeting

FFAW is holding a meeting for the 3Ks Shrimp Fleet on February 14th at 10 am at the Mount Peyton Hotel in Grand Falls Windsor.

Meetings in Fogo and Change Islands

FFAW is holding the following meetings on Wednesday, January 29:

Fogo Island at the UC Hall at 9:30 am

Change Island at the Town Hall at 2:30 pm

Meeting in Summerford

FFAW is holding a General Membership Meeting on Tuesday, January 28, at the Town hall in Summerford at 2pm, for Harvesters from North head to Port Albert.
