MEDIA ADVISORY: New campaign launches for rural NL

October 7, 2015
10/07/2015

Join us tomorrow to launch a new campaign for rural Newfoundland and Labrador.

Tomorrow we will hear from FFAW-Unifor and municipal leaders on the importance of supporting a renewed rural Newfoundland and Labrador.

RURAL WORKS is about building a coalition to bring together local governments, businesses, organized labour and other stakeholders with the goal of establishing a vibrant and sustainable rural economy.

The fishery has changed drastically since the cod moratorium. It is now more diverse, more valuable, and more sustainably managed. The fishery has always been a rural industry in NL and it must remain that way into the future, supporting the people and sustaining communities of our province.

WHEN: October 8, 2015 at 10 am
WHERE: FFAW-Unifor, 368 Hamilton Ave., 1st Floor Boardroom
