MEDIA ADVISORY: Harvesters, Plant Workers, Processing Companies Collaborate on Strategic Plan for the Future of Groundfish Fishery

Media are invited to attend the morning session of the Newfoundland and Labrador Groundfish Industry Development Council (NL-GIDC) Annual General Meeting, where a draft strategic plan for the future of our province’s groundfish fishery will be presented.
The event will be held tomorrow, Wednesday, October 25 from 8:30 to 10 am at the Comfort Inn Airport Hotel, St. John’s.
Speakers at the morning session include:
- Gerry Byrne, Minister of Fisheries and Land Resources
- Jim Baird, NL-GIDC Independent Chair
- Keith Sullivan, FFAW-Unifor President
- Bill Barry, CEO Barry Group
