MASS DEMONSTRATION ON MARCH 20

March 13, 2019
03/13/2019

In light of the recent news on snow crab and the current challenges the inshore fishery is facing when it comes to access to resources such as cod, halibut, capelin and mackerel, the inshore council unanimously passed a resolution last week to hold a mass demonstration in the coming weeks.

The demonstration will be held next Wednesday, March 20 at the Delta Hotel in downtown St. John’s beginning at 12 noon with a march to follow.

This demonstration is not just for harvesters and plant workers, but for all those who have a connection to rural Newfoundland and Labrador.

Contact your Inshore or IRO Council member or staff representative for more information.
