FFAW-Unifor President Keith Sullivan met with new Fisheries and Land Resources Minister Gerry Byrne on Wednesday, August 9. The meeting covered a wide range of current fisheries issues including the owner operator policy, the transition to Northern Cod and the importance of getting value from fish resources and securing good processing jobs on land. FFAW is looking forward to working together with Minister Byrne to support vibrant coastal communities and the province’s fish harvesters and plant workers.
