FFAW Meets with Minister of Natural Resources

On Monday, October 30^th, FFAW President Keith Sullivan, Executive Board Member Nelson Bussey, Petroleum Industry Liaison Robyn Lee and Government Relations Officer Jessica McCormick met with the Honourable Siobhan Coady, Minister of Natural Resources and Gordon McIntosh, Deputy Minister of Natural Resources. FFAW raised concerns with the impact seismic activity has on the fishery and fisheries science. FFAW looks forward to continuing to work with the Minister and her department to address the issues raised by our members. Our province derives tremendous value from our renewable fish resources and as such, the concerns of this sector must be given equal weight to the interests of the oil and gas industry.
