FFAW gets committment from DFO to review unfair decision for crab harvesters in 3K

Yesterday evening, DFO announced an extension to snow crab that applies to only some licenses in 3K. It is absolutely unacceptable for an area extension to apply to only some license holders and not apply to all. All license holders must be treated equally. DFO must consider people in all regions who could not harvest due to severe ice conditions. We have outlined the serious concerns to DFO, and they have agreed to review the decision. We will provide updates to members as they happen.
