FFAW, ASP Submit Final Offers for 2021 Snow Crab Price

March 25, 2021

March 25, 2021 – Negotiations between FFAW-Unifor and the Association of Seafood Producers (ASP) for the price of snow crab in 2021 concluded today without a resolution.

At 4 pm, both sides submitted final offers in advance of a hearing tomorrow before the Standing Fish Price Setting Panel.

While discussions took place without a resolution, even ASP acknowledged that market conditions have improved significantly over 2020.

ASP’s final offer to the Panel for the minimum price for snow crab in 2021 is $5.25. FFAW’s price is for $5.73.

Thank you to the FFAW Snow Crab Negotiating Committee for their hard work, input and commitment on behalf of members throughout negotiations.

The Standing Fish Price Setting Panel will hold a hearing to determine the price of crab tomorrow, March 26th, at 10AM. The Panel must release its decision on price before April 2nd, 2021.
