FFAW’s inshore council met over the past two days in St. John’s. The devastating recent news on potentially massive cuts to snow crab quotas dominated the discussion.
In light of the news on crab and the current challenges the inshore fishery is facing when it comes to access to resources such as cod, halibut, capelin and mackerel, the inshore council unanimously passed a resolution to hold a MASS DEMONSTRATION IN ST. JOHN’S in the coming weeks.
Details of the demonstration will be released early next week. Stay tuned to the FFAW facebook page and website for details.
