3C Crab Season Opening

May 10, 2019
05/10/2019

The 3C crab committee just finished their sixth conference call on the opening of the fishery in that area. It seems that things have changed from the call held on Wednesday, ice seems to have moved and the forecast is a bit more favourable than it was a couple days ago. Considering the forecast for Tuesday was much better than Monday it was agreed that the fishery should open 6:00am on Tuesday, May 14th . This request has been sent to DFO. The FFAW would like to recognize all the work, commitment and professionalism from the committee in this difficult situation to try and do the best job possible for both the harvesters and the resource. We wish all harvesters in Green Bay a successful season.
