2021 Lobster Price Update

April 27, 2021

April 27, 2021 – The 2021 lobster price based on the Urner Barry price calculations is $9.96/lb.

Urner Barry closing commentary for April 27th:
There has been a big push from buyers to get the Canadian shore price down in advance of the May 1st season opening. The shore price in Nova Scotia today is reported to be $10.00 CAD, with the majority of product landed representing smaller sizes. Market prices retreated for chicks, quarters, and halves. Fishing once again has been impacted by high winds; however, it is expected that boats will be able to get out the next few days.
