Public Information Sessions on Fishery Monitoring Policy and Marine Mammal Protection Act

DFO wishes to advise harvesters that the Department will be holding a public information session to discuss DFO’s Fishery Monitoring Policy and the USA’s Marine Mammal Protection Act.

The purpose of this session is to provide information as to how the Fishery Monitoring Policy aims to promote collaborative monitoring of catches, landings, location, ecosystem impacts and compliance. The session will also provide information on how the Marine Mammal Protection Act will impact exports into the USA in 2022.

This meeting will be held on February 28 at the Clarenville Inn, Clarenville at 11:00 a.m.

Fish Harvesters and stakeholders are encouraged to attend this information session.
