DELAYED OPENING – Herring Mobile Gear in St. Mary’s Bay and Placentia Bay for >55′ fleet

Due to impeding adverse weather conditions, Fisheries and Oceans Canada advises that the opening of the Herring fishery in St. Mary’s Bay, Herring Fishing Area 09 and Placentia Bay, Herring Fishing Area 10 for mobile gear vessels greater than 55 feet in length (16.76 m) will be delayed. Opening dates will be announced in a subsequent Notice to Harvesters.

The Regional Director General, Fisheries and Oceans Canada, Newfoundland and Labrador Region gives notice that Variation Order 2020-001 has been revoked and Variation Order 2020-002 comes into effect on January 16, 2020.
