The Department of Fisheries and Oceans will host a number of meetings along the Southern and West Coast of the island portion of the Province (NAFO Division 4R3P) over the next few weeks. The intent of these meetings is to provide inshore harvesters and other interested stakeholders an opportunity to discuss matters of concern in current inshore fisheries. Our primary goal will be to discuss the recently released document “What We Heard: A Discussion on the Newfoundland And Labrador Inshore Fishery”, which is a compilation of the issues raised at last year’s outreach meetings. As well, we want to hear any new concerns that harvesters may want to bring forward. These meetings will be held in the following locations:

Southern Harbour, Civic Centre, Tuesday, February 12, 2019 from 6:30 – 8:30 P.M.
Fortune, Lion’s Den, Wednesday, February 13, 2019 from 3 – 5 P.M.
Harbour Breton, Southern Port Hotel, Friday, February 15, 2019 from 10 A.M.- 12 P.M.
